Who we are
Summit Cyber Advisors, LLC (“Summit,” “we,” “us”) is a cybersecurity advisory firm based in Georgetown, Texas. This policy covers www.summitcyberadvisors.com. Questions about it go to contact@summitcyberadvisors.com or (512) 819-7628.
What we collect
- Contact form: name, company, business email, phone number (optional), and your message.
- Referral Registration form: your company name, your name and title, your business email, your MSA reference number (optional), and the name, contact name and title, and email or phone of the business you are introducing, its approximate size, your note, and your answers to the form’s yes/no questions.
- Newsletter signup (when offered): your email address.
- Scheduling: the details you enter when booking a call through the embedded Calendly scheduler.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal information through this website.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiry, schedule and hold the conversation you asked for, administer the Referral Program under its published terms, and send the newsletter if you subscribed. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
Analytics: cookieless, no personal data
We measure site usage with Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. Because nothing is stored on your device and no one is identified, no cookie consent banner is required. This site sets no tracking cookies of its own.
Who processes it for us
- HubSpot receives form submissions and stores them in our CRM, and sends the newsletter. The site submits forms to HubSpot’s API directly; no HubSpot tracking script or tracking cookie is loaded.
- Calendly provides the embedded scheduler. When you use it, Calendly processes your booking under its own privacy policy and may set cookies on its own domain.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, and routes email sent to our addresses.
- Plausible Analytics provides the cookieless usage statistics described above.
Where a form cannot reach HubSpot, it opens your own email client instead, and your message travels through your email provider to ours.
Referral prospects
When a client registers a referral, we receive a small amount of business contact information about the person being introduced. We contact that business only after an introduction or its agreement to hear from us. We delete a referral prospect’s contact data on request, when the referral is declined, or within 24 months of an unsuccessful referral.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and client correspondence are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain the business relationship, then deleted in the ordinary course. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. [TODO: counsel to confirm general retention period.]
Your rights under Texas law
If the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 541) applies to your personal data, you may ask us to confirm whether we process it, access it, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of its sale, targeted advertising, or profiling (we do none of these). Send requests to contact@summitcyberadvisors.com. We respond within 45 days, and if we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will answer the appeal in writing. Security
This site enforces HTTPS, a strict Content Security Policy, and cookieless analytics. We protect the information you send us with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, consistent with the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 521), including notifying affected individuals of a breach of security as that law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new “last updated” date.
